The Broadband Deployment Board (BDB) typically runs two cycles per year; however, due to the nature of the sunset in September 2024 the BDB is not going to complete two full cycles before its expiration on September 30, 2024.
The Broadband Band Fund is working diligently to design the final grant cycle in 2024. Due to the program's sunset scheduled for Sept. 30, 2024, there is only one grant cycle in 2024.
A Broadband Ready Certified Community is a Colorado community that has taken steps to encourage broadband infrastructure deployment to connect its residents. Steps can include creating a broadband task force, surveying community members, involving schools, businesses and other community anchor institutions, creating budgets and timelines, reviewing local policies and speaking with providers.

Update: The Sept. 12 and Sept. 13 Public Comment Presentation/Initial Application meetings are virtual. There is no in-person attendance.
A timeline and updated Policies and Guidance documents are now available for the Broadband Deployment Board’s (BDB) Summer 2023 Grant Cycle.
We have extended the deadline to submit an Advance-CPF grant application to Friday, Sept. 22 at 11:59 p.m. to make sure that all applicants have adequate time to review data and prepare grant applications. Please direct any questions to Advance_CBO@state.co.us or check the Advance-CPF webpage.

The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) is traveling around the state to both host our Summer Roadshow and to participate in the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act (IIJA) Summits held by the State of Colorado and there is still time to join us. We've added new dates listed below.
We are establishing an Advance Colorado Consult Group to solicit input from key stakeholders on Advance Colorado Broadband grant programs. Our ideal advisory group comprises of industry associations, local governments, Tribal territories, other State agencies, NTIA, broadband consumers and other key stakeholders. CBO will accept nominations until July 1, 2023.
Responsibilities
The Broadband Deployment Board has allocated 30% of the State High Cost Support Mechanism (HCSM) funds for critically unserved areas across the state of Colorado.
The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) is opening our Advance Colorado Broadband - Capital Projects Fund grant program (Advance-CPF) on June 20. To prepare, CBO and our vendor, Tilson, are hosting a webinar on Wednesday, June 14 at 1 p.m.
