IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform conducted a sunset review of the Colorado Broadband statute.  Analysis was performed to determine if statute regarding the Commission is necessary and should be continued, modified, or repealed. A copy of the Report can be reviewed on their website, under "High Cost Support  Mechanism", at https://coprrr.colorado.gov/archive-of-reviews. 

The Broadband Deployment Board, established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2014, provides grants through the Broadband Fund to deploy broadband service in unserved areas of the state.

The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) is responsible for the obligation of funds under the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF),
On Friday, Feb. 16, the Broadband Fund published the applications submitted for the 2024 grant cycle. There were 18 applications requesting $32,702,812.70 to provide broadband-level internet access to 6,583 locations.
Updated Availability DataThe CBO updated the availability data in the Colorado Broadband Map and Grant Discovery Portal on Jan. 26.

Final 2024 Grant Cycle:

Applications for the Final 2024 Grant Cycle are due Thursday, February 15, 2024. The comment period closes on Monday, April 1, 2024. 

A refresher meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2024.
