The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced the release of its Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for State Digital Equity Capacity Grants. This means Colorado's Digital Equity Team is currently working hard to apply for State Digital Equity Act Capacity Grant funds. Once awarded, Colorado will receive $12,368,261 for the first round of funding.

Colorado plans to use the capacity funding to implement the Digital Access Plan, primarily two huge projects:

  • Build a digital inclusion ecosystem by creating and supporting digital inclusion coalitions across Colorado.
  • Increase the number of used computers that can be refurbished, as well as the number of devices refurbished and distributed to Coloradans.

More information is forthcoming from our partners at The Office of the Future of Work about this exciting work.
