The BDB would like to thank everyone who participated in our stakeholder and subcommittee meetings this month. Staff and Counsel are in the process of incorporating suggestions resulting from these meetings into working documents.

This week’s stakeholder meetings will provide an opportunity to share thoughts on BDB Draft Policies, Guidance Documents or anything else regarding the BDB and the grant review process.
For the remainder of the year, the Broadband Deployment Board (BDB) will be sending out weekly updates on our activities and events to keep stakeholders informed.
The Broadband Deployment Board (BDB) would like to remind stakeholders about a number of upcoming events. During the upcoming subcommittee meetings, we will be looking to stakeholders for their input on how to prioritize proposed process improvements. These meetings will also address some of the challenges that the BDB has encountered in previous cycles.
Winter 2022 Grant Cycle Appeals Hearing
On Aug. 25, the Broadband Deployment Board (BDB) completed its application review for the Winter 2022 Grant Cycle. BDB decisions regarding applicant's ability to meet the Minimum Requirements for both the High-Cost Support Mechanism (HCSM) Funding and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Stimulus Fund were posted on our website.
Broadband Deployment Board decisions from the Winter 2022 Grant cycle were posted on our website on Aug. 31, 2022, officially starting the countdown for the appeals process. The Appeals & Right of First Refusal (RoFR) submissions deadline has been extended from Sept. 5 to Saturday, Sept. 10, at 11:59 p.m.
The Broadband Fund is working to finalize dates for Winter 2022 RoFR & Appeals Hearings. The tentative timeline is:
DENVER - Colorado’s Broadband Deployment Board (BDB), which operates under the Colorado Broadband Office (CBO), has awarded more than $22.8 million to 15 broadband projects that will connect 4,267 additional households to high-speed internet. This is the most funding awarded during a BDB grant cycle in the board’s eight-year history, and it moves the state closer to achieving its goal of connecting 99% of Colorado households to fast, reliable broadband by 2027.
