2024 Broadband Data Collection

The 2024 Colorado Broadband Data Collection is now open. The CBO requests that internet service providers (ISPs) in Colorado provide confirmation of their Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Broadband Data Collection (BDC) filing submissions depicting broadband service availability as of December 31, 2023, in addition to other submission details for 2024 Colorado Broadband Data Collection.

Colorado Carrier Neutral Locations List Now Available

Multiple Carrier Neutral Locations (CNLs) across the state have been partially-funded by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). These sites, which are independent of any network provider, facilitate broadband deployment and create a redundant infrastructure.

Lt. Governor Primavera Announces Statewide ACP Act Now Initiative

On Feb. 22, Lt. Governor Primavera announced a statewide initiative to increase awareness of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a long-term benefit to help eligible households pay for high-speed internet, with support from EducationSuperHighway. Seventy one (71) partner cities, community-based organizations and trusted institutions around Colorado were invited to participate in the initiative.

Colorado Broadband Data Collection Begins

The 2023 Colorado Broadband Data Collection opens tomorrow, Feb. 14 and runs through March 10, 2023. 

We collect broadband availability data following the FCC data specifications. To learn more about data requirements and format, please visit our How to Submit Data web page.

Important Dates

Broadband Deployment Board Winter 2023 Grant Cycle: Open Comment Period Extended

The Winter 2023 Grant Cycle Applications were due on January 15. The comment period was scheduled to begin on January 16, however we experienced technical issues that prevented us from publishing all applications for the opening of the comment period. All applications are now posted to our website. Accordingly, we are extending the public comment/response period by one day. Therefore, the Open Comment period is now from Tuesday, January 17, 2023 until Friday, March 3, 2023.

CBO Will Not Publish Fall 2022 Mapping Data

The CBO has decided not to publish the dataset from our Fall 2022 Data Collection. We typically publish the biannual dataset in October, however due to our team’s focus on a number of other projects we have not been able to dedicate the time necessary to process and quality control the data. 

November Industry & Community Roundtable Webinars: Slides and Recordings Now Available

On November 15 and 16, the CBO hosted it's Advance Industry and Community Roundtable meetings. In order to establish a regular cadence of communication with our partners, the CBO will hold these Roundtable meetings bi-monthly. The slides and recordings from November's Industry and Community Roundtable discussions can be found below. The next Roundtable discussions will take place in January 2023.
